    Restore

We'll help you restore mobility and function to your body using a range of evidence-based techniques.

Our Treatments

At Physiofitness, we practise hands-on treatments using a range of evidence-based manual techniques. Your appointment will begin with a comprehensive assessment including a full clinical history, examination and discussion of your problems and goals. In some cases, you may be referred for x-ray, MRI or ultrasound imaging. Once a diagnosis is made, we'll discuss a management plan with you and treatment will begin.

Sporting Injuries

As athletes themselves, Lee-Anne and Millie know the frustration you feel when you're sidelined by injury. They can provide acute care to relieve pain and swelling together with a management plan to get you safely back on track as soon as possible. They can also advise you on how to prevent similar injuries in the future.

Musculoskeletal Injuries

At Physiofitness, we have a keen interest in treating all kinds of musculoskeletal injuries. After a comprehensive assessment, treatment is individually designed for you. This may include the application of heat or ice, strapping, manipulation, joint mobilisation, massage and exercise. The objective is to relieve pain, promote healing, restore movement and prevent further injury.

Dry needling

We advocate dry needling in conjunction with manual therapies as an effective modality to treat muscle pain. Also known as myofascial trigger point dry needling, this modality uses fine needles to provoke a response in the muscle and instantly relax it for further hands-on treatment. The technique is not painful and is well tolerated.

Lower Back and Neck

According to the Australian Physiotherapy Association, up to 25 percent of Australians experience back pain on any given day. Similarly, neck pain is a debilitating problem in the community, sometimes linked to chronic headaches. Lee-Anne has a special interest in the treatment of the lower back and neck. At Physiofitness, we are experienced in an array of evidence-based treatment techniques and management strategies that can break the cycle of pain.

Post-operative Rehabilitation

Our physiotherapy treatments can often avoid or delay surgery. But sometimes surgery is the only option. A post-operative physiotherapy program can play an important role in getting the most out of surgery. Whether it's shoulder, hip, knee or any other kind of surgery, Physiofitness will work with your surgeon to guide you through the early post-op stages through to full recovery.

Functional Strength Training

Exercise has been described as a natural "wonder drug" by medical researchers. At Physiofitness, we'll design a functional strength training program that's personally tailored for you. Whether that means performing at your peak as an elite athlete, managing chronic health issues or maintaining your independence as you age by staying strong and active, we'll help you achieve your goals.

Other Conditions and Treatments

We can assess, treat and manage almost any condition of your joints, muscles and nerves. Other conditions we commonly manage and treat include arthritis, osteoporosis and headaches.
